Mitsubishi Electric develops wearable display

OSAKA — Mitsubishi Electric Corp said Wednesday it has developed a head-mounted, wearable liquid crystal display (LCD) that people can use without blocking their field of vision, a departure from goggle-type displays currently available.

The device, called Eye Vision, looks like a phone headset. The small display is attached to the headset and is set about 3 centimeters from the user's right eye. The screen is about 1.5 cm high and 2 cm wide. (Kyodo News)
