OSAKA — Matsushita Electric
Industrial Co said Friday it will set up next Tuesday a new consulting
company run by women who had to quit their jobs due to reasons such as
child bearing.
The company, to be named Women's Frontier, is being
established under Matsushita's in-house program to encourage its employees
to come up with new businesses.
Matsushita employee Naoko Goto will become the president
of the firm, but women with adequate working skills can apply for jobs at
the firm no matter who they had worked for before quitting their jobs,
company officials said.
The venture firm will adopt a system which will be easy
for employees to continue working, such as the work-at-home style.
For clients, the firm will offer advice on management
and business operations from a woman's viewpoint, and will dispatch
workers, they said.
Aiming at annual sales of 300 million yen in five years,
Goto said, "I am happy to offer a workplace for women who had to quit
their jobs for various reasons. We want to aim at listing the firm in the
future." (Kyodo News) |
